Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg Launches New Official Website
Winnipeg, MB — May 9, 2025 — The Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg today announced the launch of its newly redesigned official website, accessible at www.archeparchy.ca. This significant update aims to establish a central information hub for the faithful and to foster stronger connections within the Ukrainian Catholic community across Manitoba.

This was reported by the Communication Office of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg.
The initiative, as reported by the Archeparchy’s Department of Communications, represents a strategic advancement in the Church’s digital presence. Most Rev. Andriy Rabiy, auxiliary bishop of the Archeparchy commented on the launch, stating, “This is not just an update of our online presence. This is a strategic step aimed at strengthening ties within our community and presenting its multifaceted life to the general public in Canada and beyond.”
The enhanced website will provide visitors with comprehensive access to current service schedules, parish contact information, announcements of upcoming events, pastoral messages, and a rich repository of educational materials. Furthermore, it will serve as a conduit for news from the wider Catholic Church, the Ukrainian Catholic Church (UGCC) globally, the Metropolia, and the Archeparchy itself.
Bishop Rabiy emphasized the site’s role in spiritual development: “We hope that the new resource will become a platform for spiritual enrichment. The possibilities for this are endless: publishing catechetical materials, reading and reflecting on the Holy Scriptures, liturgical publications, and explanations. It is extremely important to highlight the spiritual life in parishes.”
The new website is designed to fulfill several key functions: to keep the faithful informed, to act as a tool for catechesis and evangelization, to represent the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Manitoba to a broader audience, and to actively support and preserve Ukrainian identity.
Recognizing the deep connection between faith and heritage for many Ukrainian Canadians, Bishop Rabiy highlighted the site’s cultural significance. “For many Ukrainians in Canada, the Church is the center not only of spiritual, but also of cultural life. The site can play an important role in supporting the Ukrainian language, culture and traditions, especially in the context of new waves of immigration. Therefore, it was very important to make the site Ukrainian-language at the same time,” he stated.
A particular focus during the development was the creation of content that is both engaging and relevant to the younger generation, ensuring the website serves all members of the community.
“I really want the new site to become a real bridge that unites hearts in faith, hope and love, and vividly reflects the deep spiritual life that flourishes in the Archeparchy and each parish,” concluded Bishop Rabiy.
The Archeparchy extended its gratitude to Father Taras Zheplinskyi, head of the information department of the Department of Information of the UGCC, for his valuable assistance in the website’s development.
